The Crack Sauce (Warm Butter Rum Sauce)

This sauce was originally made to go with the Cranberry Orange Christmas Cake but it has so many other options. Ask my friends Kristen and Barbara. They poured it just about everything they could at our annual Mom's Night Out Holiday Party!

Warm Butter Rum Sauce

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup heavy cream or half and half
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp rum extract

Mix all ingredients in a heavy sauce pan. Bring to boil while stirring. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve warm.

Store covered in the fridge.
